Just applied and been accepted for the Platinum Cashback Everyday Card. Seems like I made an error and realised I would have benefited more in getting the BA Premium Plus Card through the Avios Points system.
Do you think it would be possible to ring up and get this changed or is it too late to get this done?
Thanks

Phone them and ask? The only one that can answer this is Amex.0

If you are looking to boost your Avios points the best card is the Amex Platinum - you get 35,000 points for signing up and spending £2,000 and airport lounge access, priority boarding etc. with BA. They refund the annual fee pro-rata if you cancel, and you can keep the Avios etc.
PM me if you need more information0 -

Never understood priority boarding, assuming it not the chaos of Ryanair I want to be one of the last to be on board ina confined space, and this goes for business class as well as economy.0 -

Each to their own, but you may reconsider when you get on last and find there's nowhere left to stow your hand luggage and it has to be placed in the hold.0 -
You cannot get it "changed" as it is a different product
Spend £2000 on it, pay it back, then apply for the BA card in May
Amex Platinum does not give benefits on BA directly, it gives you a priority pass card which can be used for priority pass lounges, and (until March) a Cathay Pacific gold card valid for one year which is Oneworld Sapphire, equivalent to BA Silver.0 -

Hopefully you can be more careful with paying your bill on time!0 -

The only reason to, in my opinion, is if you have the maximum amount/ size of carry on in which case you may want to get in early to be able to put it in the overhead lockers near your seat. Get on last and it may be anywhere in the cabin if your neighbours have done the same.
If you are in Business or First then it depends on how many glasses of champagne you want before takeoff0
