Same here - a big batch of veggie chilli frozen in individual portions can be nuked in minutes and costs pennies.

  • Hi mallygirl, thanks again

I have just left a company in which I was paid 18p a mile for, does this mean that I can put the remaining on my self assessment?

yes - you can put the 27p per mile difference against your tax code as long as it was your car not company car (and you didn't get a car allowance as part of your benefits package)

  • From what I have read, I can only do this for journeys outside my normal commute to work

For example if I am based in the office and I am sent to a client for a meeting, I can claim tax relief against that mileage

    Thanks for the help though
