You should start your own thread rather than hijack someone else's ....

It's too confusing with lots of cases on the same thread.
The word "gullible" isn't in the dictionary

Hi okkian, welcome to MSE :hello:

I've moved your posts into a new thread so that all replies can be kept together :)
  • But to summarise - if Scotland, then ignore.

There is no confusion - in Scotland you IGNORE the scammers!

This is because there is no appeal system to anyone in Scotland or NI and no Keeper Liability - So the chances of anything beyond a few scary letters is next to nil.

Complaining to the landowner is an option but don't identify yourself as the driver and don't get drawn into a long and pointless exchange with them.

So please read the sticky thread at the top for NEWBIES which you seem to have missed (which has a section about Scotland), or search the forum for the keyword 'Scotland' and read all the dozens of other new threads we get every week. No confusing advice, we post the same old stuff every time about Scotland - even though the sticky thread covers it already it seems new posters overlook the sticky FAQs at the top of the forum.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
