Nationwide to TSB faster payment issues today?

Has anyone else experienced a delay in moving money from these institutions C/As?

Made a £300 payment this morning and nothing showing in the TSB (yet).

I'll be honest and think this is the first time I've transferred money to TSB at a weekend.

  • You're not the only one waiting. I made a faster payment to Santander from Nationwide two hours ago and it is not showing as being received at Santander yet.

Nationwide do have a service notification that full operation is not guaranteed from 7pm yesterday until 7pm tonight and also delays to all outgoing and incoming Faster Payments

    Thanks Gromitt.

Why they (NW programmers) cant put this sort of notification on the 'transfer successful' page I'll never know.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly - its appreciated.

Perhaps they are trying to delay the run on the bank by the many moneysaving experts that are withdrawing their funds due to premature Flex Direct demotion to 1%

We all have different dates. I did one yesterday to go out today and that has gone through okay despite transaction date showing as 20 Jan 2014. Just done another four and the faster payment screen came up and cleared but a message came up that the payment was being processed and not to try again unless account was in credit. Shown as withdrawal on statement but no sort or account number. Maybe they will clear after 7pm.

I made a successful payment from my Nationwide current account to someone else's Nationwide account about 5 mins ago. This payment had been rejected earlier today due to maintenance.
  • 12 hours later the payment has arrived.

Once again - thanks for the info fellow forumites.

I don't think a handful of £2,500 withdrawals will do too much damage to them.

2%!!! You don't need to settle for that if you have not yet opened your limit of Bank of Scotland, TSB, Lloyds, Yorkshire or Clydsdale current accounts which are paying either 3% or 4% gross for the latter.
