advice on a trust fund

Hi all, am looking for some advice and any would be greatly appreciated. Its going to be vague but I'll provide what info I can.
A distant family member has left myself, my brother and 2 sisters an absolute fortune. In a will from her estate and also a large sum which is currently being held in a trust fund.
I don't know what kind of a trust fund the money is in but I do know that my dad is the trustee.
My relative is currently in a hospice and we have been told that she does not have so long left. This is sad but I hardly knew her and I can barely believe what she has done for my 3 siblings and me, but it is hard not to get a little excited about the life changing amount of money she has left us in the trust alone.
My questions are.
roughly how long will it take for the fund pay out? (I want to know if I should be looking for a house now or if I should leave it for a few weeks/months.
what is the amount of tax likely to be?
what are the fees to the company holding the trust likely to be percentage wise? (I appreciate this will be a rough guess as I don't even know who is holding the fund.)
Many thanks in advance!

The trustee(s) must comply with the terms of the Trust Deed - your father might well need specialist advice because the administration and taxation of Trusts can be complex. http://www.step.org/online-directory

The executor of your relative's estate will deal with probate and settle the question of legacies and bequests.0
