when you buy a new computer and it has preloaded software on it, where do you stand when you need to reinstall? I have a gateway branded vista installation disc and the backup i created when I got it, so what im asking is, if i need to reinstall in the future, where are these preloaded programs actually stored, on the backup or the vista disc? im just worried about losing them that's all.

Our systems come with seperate CDs but often if it's an OEM tailored backup CD then the software is on them.

hi if someone could just confirm this that'll be great, we didn't have any software cd's, just preloaded.
