Parking Charge Notice received

I e-mailed Aldi via customer.service@aldi.co.uk telling that my vehicle was not parked in their car park for that amount of time, that I have proof that my vehicle was elsewhere and demanding that they cancelled the charge that their contractors are levying, this is the reply that I received....
We are very sorry to hear you have received a parking charge at one of our stores.
After receiving numerous complaints over our customers’ inability to find a parking space we have had to enforce time restrictions on some of our car parks due to persistent abuse from non Aldi customers. In order to achieve this we have used a company called Parking Eye, whose camera system can accurately record the times that customers arrive and depart the car park. To make our customers aware of the restrictions on our car park, there are numerous signs situated both outside and inside the store.
We do have a dedicated Parking Management Department here within Aldi that deal with any parking ticket enquiries and they will be able to look into your particular situation, however they are unable to deal with external email. The Parking Management Department work Monday - Friday 08:00 - 16:30
together with some 0845 numbers to ring First of all these hours fall within my work hours where I have no access to an external phone line/system ( let alone an 0845 number) mobile phones ( as they have cameras/recording capability's) and so on.0 -
Write a complaint letter (snail mail) to the Aldi CS team then, that's what a friend of mine did once to get her charge cancelled. She also wrote an appeal online to PE at the same time and it was cancelled a week later.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It is not clear from your posts if you have formally appealed to PE. All this to and fro with ALDI is good and well but you must get your POPLA code and the only way is to appeal to the PPC with a point or two previously used on here, asking for the ticket to be cancelled or a POPLA form & code.
If ALDI get it cancelled, then nothing lost but if you time yourself out, then next step is court.0 -
Ive made no contact with PE yet, as im trying to deal with the organ grinder instead of the monkey (PE)
However it would appear the organ grinder is hiding behind the monkey, and allowing the monkey to throw poo at the organ grinders customers.
As for timings, ive got until mid week before the fine goes up to the full amount then another fortnight before the whole ting times out ( 14 days+14 days=28) if im not mistaken.
Are there any more email addresses for ALDI that might actually get somewhere? I find it hard to believe that a company such as ALDI does not have any way to deal with this via e-mail.
So far i have this as well as the customer service address
aldistores@webershandwick.com
- Foud one via this website http://www.!!!!!!!!!!!!!/ its gmdsec@aldi.co.uk
website is ceoemail dot com (dont know whey its censored)0 -
No more email addresses. I would leave Aldi alone and just appeal to PE online (as keeper not driver) like everyone else does here. Your best revenge is beating PE at POPLA and we have 100% record so just do that and get on with your life!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Im beginning to think that trying to deal with ALDI on this is like !!!!ing in the wind, I will be replying to their email, although im not holding up much hope.
I did manage to speak to an ALDI manager about this issue, and it was pretty much: cant do anything - hands are tied, we get loads of grief from this, there's even posters at the back from head office about it telling us not to deal with it in store.
Hopefully their their private parking contractors will see sense and cancel the whole thing.
I did however include this from the parking prankster blog/ a newbies read this thread on here aimed at ALDI
" must inform you that I may claim my expenses from you ( and/or your agents Parking Eye for who you are jointly and severely liable for) as well as my time at the court rate of £18 per hour. The expenses I may claim are not exhaustive but may include the cost of stamps, envelopes, travel expenses, legal fees, etc. By continuing to pursue me you agree to pay these costs should this matter have to be taken to POPLA and I prevail"
As for registered keeper vs the Driver before I receiced this ticket its been a long time since i had a good look through this sub forum, back then the advice was loo roll bin it and forget it, im well aware of recent changes with the freedom act.
However i cant get my head round the registered keeper vs driver should things go official, wouldn't a judge at court or POPLAS just rule on the balance of probability's should the need occur ( i vaguely remember seeing this on a combined parking solutions site)0 -

But another short answer - simply win at POPLA then there's no Court at all.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Its been a while - heres the latest on whats happening.....
A few days ago I received a letter from Aldi, roughly as follows...
Thank you for your recent letter concerning the parking charge blah blah blah waffle... Car pakr management system in pace to ensure the provision of car parking for our customers balh blah blah blah
more stuff about the parking eye system is "in place to ensure free parking for our customers"
then " We have instructed parking eye to cancel with immediate effect and you should receive no more correspondence from them"
Two days later this was followed by a reminder form parking eye stating the charge had increased, and the next day another letter from parking eye stating "We can confirm that the charge has been cancelled and there is no outstanding payment due on this account"
so what happened???
I visited the store again to speak to the manager after receiving the charge in the first place and got fobbed off ( not our car park etc etc)
I then sent an email to Aldi complaining about the charge and giving them details of my whereabouts, to the managers address that i posted previously.
I also submitted an appeal to parking eye with similar information to the complaint letter to aldi management.
Heres another thing that may help people in a similar situation to me...
If you own an android based mobile phone, you may remember something about location settings/sharing when you first set it up.
Go to http://www.google.com/dashboard use the same password/username as you do for your phone (ie to sign into google play) Scroll down the page to the heading "Location history" and there it is, on the right a map on the left a calendar, pick a date on the calendar and Google knows where you have been all logged and saved. and proof you were elsewhere.0 -
