I pad keeps loosing Internet

Over the last couple of days the I Pad keeps loosing internet. After ive been on it for about 10 mins, and then try to access something else, its as if it gets stuck. The only solution Ive found so far is to switch it off and then back again. The laptop is working ok and ive got full bars on the wi fi signal. In very simple terms has anyone got any suggestions .

Which model of iPad is it, what version of iOS are your running, how are you connecting it to the Internet?
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?

Common issue. It's something to do with the infinity router, I believe.

    (Have the same problem intermittently.)

You can lose a loose goose.
You cannot loose a lose goose.
Get it? Now use it before you lose it.

We had same problem with a BT Homehub 3, and got some improvement by setting the router to a fixed WiFi channel.

Previously it was on the default setting, in which it would swap WiFi channel according to which it thought was best. I found that the mobile devices were losing the plot every time the router changed channel. Log in to the router, access control panel, advanced settings, and choose a channel. Apple says 1,6,11 are preferred for iPads.

If you have a wireless PC or Laptop, you can download inSSIDer to this, and find out which is the least crowded channel in your home.

Some sources say that setting a fixed IP address for each wireless device on your network can help, but I haven't tried that yet.
  • i got a warning on my talktalk home page last week that said my internet might be intermittent due to weather conditions , i had a full signal on wifi, did a broadband speed test and it varied from less than 1 meg up to 16 meg, makes sense if there's mass damage due to flooding etc .
  • I had same issue using iPad in lavvy when router was in lounge, could never be sure if it work work.

I ended up adding a wi-fi access point upstairs connected via homeplugs

I had a lot of the same intermittent problem which resulted with me rebooting my modem each time, after about 9-10 months (really) I contacted my ISP thinking there was something wrong with my line after what seemed like endless emails back and forth they informed me that there was a problem with my line. BT engineer visited an could not find any problem. I then decided that my Netgear router may be the problem, bought new TP link N class router, problem solved,,,,,,,,,,,, so far.
