insurance for jet skiing etc on holiday

Hi
We are going for 10 days holiday to gran canaria. Whilst there we want to have a go on a jet ski and also a day at the go cart track.
I have looked at travel insurance. Some companies will cover these activities at an additional premium. However, They specify that personal accident and personal liability will net be covered.
can anyone tell what this means? Surely having an accident whilst doing these sports is what we want cover for. So without personal accident cover what are the companies actualy covering?

Travel delay, lost bags/possessions etc. if you read the policy details it'll tell you

Personal Accident is usually a section on the policy that pays a lump sum in the event of death or loss of a limb/eye etc..

Personal liability is your liability to others.

If they are excluding these, presumably they are still covering medical expenses?

Thank you for both replies. I did email the company and have just received reply. rs65 you are correct they will not cover lump sum payouts or third party claims against me. they will however pay medical costs. Moto2 i will look at dogtag.co.uk

Just make sure the cart or jetski companies cover you for liability to others.
