WOW what an fantastic service WeBuyBooks.co.uk are!!
I decided to start 2014 with a de-clutter and found a site webuybook.co.uk offering to pay for old books as well as Games, CD's and DVD's.
I did a bit of compare on the games/DVD's/CD's on MusicMagpie (they do not accept books). I have to admit some of the games were slightly a better quote so decided to send in a smaller order to MusicMagpie too.
Using webuybooks.co.uk was easy and just added the ISBN's from the barcodes and a instant quote would appear which you could accept or decline. At the end you had to print out a label. Unfortunately my printer has no ink so I made a phone call to them.
I spoke to a lovely friendly lady who just printed the label and sent out first class to me. I booked to have a delivery pick up on the website for Monday 13th Jan. I also asked if I could add something else to my order, she told me I could just put it in the box and they would add it to my order for me.
Monday came and a polite man in a UPS uniform picked up my box of bits as I was informed. Later that day I had a e-mail to tell me webuybooks.co.uk had received my goods, the day after that they were processing my goods and the following day I received £109.39 in my bank account - Yipee!!! In less then 3 days it had all been collected from my doorstep and paid into my bank!! Plus I could track it all on the UPS website and my account too.
On Monday 13th Jan I had arranged a collection with musicmagpie aswell for the odd games that was quoted slightly more. The lady came, friendly enough but not in any uniform was too scared to come into my gate because of my two pet ducks I think. I gave her the small parcel over the gate....and that is it? I have had no communication, updates, payment - nothing? I eventually found a bit on MusicMagpies website that it may take 10 day just to receive goods? In all fairness I haven't chased it up yet, just compared to webuybooks.co.uk it seems disappointing!
Anyway - THANK YOU WEBUYBOOKS! I WILL DEFF USE YOU AGAIN :-)

I have to say I have been very pleased with MM and unlike some have never had a problem with them. I haven't had collected lately, but when I have done they always insisted on scanning the parcels in front of me and giving me the receipts. Did they not do this?0 -

Oh no? I had no scan, receipt...nothing!? Just a normal young girl (a bit scuffy actually) collect it. I was little bit concerned but I thought it had to be a MM collector as how else would someone know? Hmmm0 -
Has Music Magpie got rid of the collect+ option for smaller orders?0

They are just normal people using their own cars so I wouldn't let her appearance worry you. As I said the last parcel I sent was a few months ago, but they have always had scanners on them. The one time the scanner didn't work she wrote a receipt out. Might be worth contacting them if your account is not updated, although they are not always easy to contact.0
