I cant count how many times I have 'changed careers'! have worked in almost every job. I am 'retired' now - but until my late fifties I worked, I took courses, worked, did a degree, worked, took more courses..........I think I live by the mantra 'I live and I learn'. am thinking now of what courses I want to do because I am bored!
you are never TOO old! ok some jobs are for younger people - but those with age and experience and qualifications can find work. it may not be in a narrow field which you expect to find jobs - but - Broaden your horizons!0 -
Are you serious? I started my real career at 40. Just you go right ahead, you are only a youngster, and good luck.0

Heaven forbid when being just 32 is considered 'too old' to do anything. What hope does that give those of us way past that age! It is never too late to improve something in your life that you really want to change, or to set another goal and feel brave enough to try and achieve it. Change is stimulating and exciting and often leads you to a far happier and more contented place. Best of luck with whatever you decide to do next OP.The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0

I went to uni and did another degree which was a complete and utter career change when I was 39. I was a session musician and went to do a degree in midwifery. It was a change which was forced on me due to health reasons but it was a massive shift none the less. I've done that, worked for a while and now (Monday) I'm starting a masters which means I change career again (although much more related this time).
Later this year we will be buying a house in Nashville TN and emigrating when my postgrad year is up.
I live by the mantra that you can do anything at all, at any time at all if you put your heart and soul into it. You may need to work very hard to achieve it and rarely is the good stuff easy but I find the biggest hurdle in life is getting past your own doubts and inability to embrace change.
Life is too short to waste plodding along wishing you were doing something else somewhere else.:A

I had a massive career change at 29 (just before my 30th) and it was the best thing I've ever done.
If you are looking to go into social work etc then you might be bringing much more life experience than someone just out of college or university.0 -

You have at least twice as many years of work before you retire than you have worked up to now. Only a third through your working life!0

No, 32 is certainly not too old for a career change.Ær ic wisdom funde, ær wearð ic eald.
Before I found wisdom, I became old.0
