Cost for stud walls

Hi,

We've recently bought a house that is open plan. However we want to re-instate the walls to create a separate living room, dining room and hall way.

We've had 1 quote so far, but wanted to know what is an acceptable rate in the Cheshire area.

Wall 1 - 10ft 2in x 7ft 5in
Wall 2 - 13ft 2in x 7ft 5in

We would need a standard internal door in wall 2.

Doing some very quick rough maths I'd say you're looking at ~£1250.

Not from the Cheshire area and only a rough estimate but hopefully it will help.

Another thought; you may want to think about having electrics run through those walls for plug sockets. Being able to plug the vacuum in in the hall might not seem like a big deal but it just makes life that little bit easier.

Apart from the plastering , this is a very easy DIY job for wall 1.
Not that difficult for wall 2 if you can measure fairly accurately for the door.

£1250? thats expensive. I'd charge about £600, including plastering. And im not far from cheshire.

£47.50p per square Meter + electrics
That's for 100mmx50mm stud work boarded both sides with standard PB ,door lining set ,. 100mm bullnose skirting , bullnose architrave on both sides of doorframe . Doesn't include the door or any electrical work. You are going to want additional light switches and centre lights , never mind sockets . Can you get access from above ? It doesn't include any coving either or paint.
