Dementia and financial exploitation

Hi
My dad is in his 80s and has dementia. We have just found out that his son has taken out a Internet loan in his name. My dad appears upset and unaware of this. There are many other issues eg a missing will that my mum and dad made before she died and the fact our brother claims to be living with my dad on paper but doesn't care for him. His son has just started paying the mortgage so we suspect he's wants the house. We think this is fraud and exploitation of a vulnerable person but what can we do?
Thank you.

Have a look at the Age UK pages -see http://www.ageuk.org.uk/ - they do have a section on abuse of the elderly - and may be able to advise you.0 -

Sorry to hear of this - please google and read Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (SOVA) - the Law introduced to protect against anyone from ANY case of abuse (there are many!).
Good luck
