6 Year old debts

Can debts older than 6 years that don't appear on your credit report effect the credit score?

    Not as such. Lenders checking your report will only see the ones still on there.

    However, if when you apply for something like a mortgage or major loan you are asked on the application form whether you have any outstanding debts, you are obliged to declare then and that may influence their decision. Plus of course, the lender they are owed to will have their own records of the debt, even if not on your report.

    Ok thanks, No mortgage is going to be applied for as I am trying to clear all debts before my move to Australia in a few years.
