8.1. These terms and conditions apply to the Oleg soft toy competition (the “Promotion”) and entry to the Promotion is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions, therefore, please read carefully.
8.2. No purchase is necessary.
8.3. The promoter of the Promotion is comparethemarket.com which is a trading name of BISL Limited, registered in England and Wales under company number 03231094, whose registered office is at Pegasus House, Bakewell Road, Orton Southgate, Peterborough, PE2 6YS (the “Promoter”).
8.4. The Promotion is open only to UK residents (excluding employees of the Promoter, third parties involved in the Promotion and their families) who are aged 18 and above.
8.5. One prize draw will take place each month between January 2014 and June 2014 (6 prize draws in total). To enter the promotion you must visit the competition page on https://www.comparethemeerket.com and correctly answer the question and register your email address. You must enter each prize draw separately. The question may be updated from time to time during the promotion. Only one correct entry per person per month. Entries submitted in any other manner will not be accepted.
8.6. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for incomplete entries or entries not properly received due to technical, communication or other problems. Proof of delivery of the entry is not proof of receipt.
8.7. The Promotion will run from 12.01am on the first day of the month to 11.59pm on the last day of the month (the “Closing Date”). Entries received after the Closing Date will not be accepted for that month.
8.8. The prize consists of an Oleg soft toy (the “Prize”).
8.9. 10 Winners shall be selected at random on the second day or the closest working day of the following month (the “Winners”). The Winners shall be notified via email within 10 working days and shall have 30 days to claim the Prize by replying and confirming their address.
8.10. In the event that any Prize is not claimed by this deadline, the Winner shall forfeit the Prize and the Promoter may select (an) alternative Winner(s). The alternative Winner(s) will be contacted via email and will have 30 days from the date of notification in which to claim the Prize, otherwise they will also forfeit the Prize. No alternative Winners will then be selected.8.11. There shall be no cash alternatives to the Prize although the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the Prize for that of equal value.
8.12. The Promoter’s decision is final and the Promoter shall not enter into correspondence with respect to its decision. The Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify or exclude any individual for inappropriate behaviour including but not limited to:
- tampering with the entry process, (including exceeding any limitation on the numbers of entries allowed), or any other process, which, in the opinion of the Promoter in any way affects the fairness of the promotion;
- tampering with the operation of the Promotion or the website of the Promoter;
- acting in violation of the terms of the Promotion;
- violating the terms of service, conditions of use and/or general rules or guidelines on the social networking site;
- acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person;
- submitting entries on behalf of another individual; or
- any conduct which would put other entrants at an unfair disadvantage.
8.13. Details of the Winners names may be obtained by sending an email to marketing@comparethemarket.com within 6 weeks of the Closing Date.
8.14. Personal data supplied during the course of the Promotion will only be used for the purposes of the administration of the Promotion but may be passed on to third party suppliers only insofar as required for fulfilment/delivery/arrangement of the Prize. The Winners shall not be liable for the cost of delivering the Prize.
8.15. The Winners may be required to take part in reasonable publicity in connection with the Promotion, including the publication of their name(s), geographic location and photograph. This may include publication on the Website, in local and national media and on social media websites.
8.16. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any damage, loss, liabilities or disappointment incurred or suffered by you as a result of entering the Promotion or accepting the Prize. The Promoter further disclaims liability for any damage to your or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in connection with the Promotion.
