dremario - we have a Custoemr Support Centre number, namely 0844 892 1111. It would not be a local office which you would call.
However I am uncertain as to what additional information you are hoping to obtain. The solicitor has already advised re posisble timescales and as you are neither the applicant or current owner it is unlikely that you would be able to obtain any more information.
If you are concerned about how long the process may take then I would suggest speaking to the solicitor acting for the seller.“Official Company Representative

A quick google foundIf I lost the property, what would be the amount that I can claim:
the amount I paid for the property,
or

If you require a mortgage, you may find your lender does not view the property as suitable security without clear unencumbered title. This will affect your ability to purchase, unless you have a deposit of perhaps 30% or more.
This will almost certainly impact on anyone who wishes to purchase the property until the title is reconstructed.
In my experience, the value of a property with defective title is usually around 25% lower than the alternative. Seek advice about this, before making a commitment to purchase.I am a mortgage broker. My parents bought a house cash with "no deeds" very cheap and 12 years later they have deeds, and are selling 1/3 of the land for twice what they paid for the house and land.
They took a risk, but they also insured against someone turning up with the deeds.0
