Either incorrectly connected equipment, or you selected the wrong input when recording.Understeer is when you hit a wall with the front of your car
Oversteer is when you hit a wall with the back of your car
Horsepower is how fast your car hits the wall
Torque is how far your car sends the wall across the field once you've hit it0 -
have you tried the disc any were else?0

To explain a bit more ....................
Recorded a film that was on tv through my SkyHD+ box , film was then saved on the sky box in the Planner section , when we went to copy using the Copy feature in the planner section it just recorded the tv program that was running at the time ):
Sky box to DVD Recorder connection is by a scart socket and sky box to tv by HDMI cable
Will this help in assistance ?

I've never had any joy with the Copy button on Sky+, so I don't use it.
My Sky+ box is connected via Scart to the DVD, and you actually have to play back the programme you've saved on the Sky planner to be able to record it to DVD. As posted above, you have to check you've set your DVD recorder to the right input, which could be AV1 or Line In or something else, depending on your make and model.
You should also check your TV channel is set up for the DVD recorder's input, which will allow you to see what you are recording on your screen.0 -

This.
When I had Sky+ I used to do the above to copy recorded stuff to DVD to watch away from home when traveling.
Have you read the Sky+ booklet that came with the box? It details how to do it and you have to follow the instructions carefully or, as you've found out, it won't work.
What the booklet doesn't tell you is that it only works if you have the correct cables and that they are connected correctly. I made some notes because I would occasionally forget how and always when I had little time to sort it out. See bellow.
1) Ensure that the scart between SkyHD and DVDR is a fully wired 21 pin type and is connected to the VCR scart socket on the Sky box and the AV2 scart socket on the DVDR (AV2 is the lower one on mine)
2) On the TV select the HDMI input which the DVDR is connected to so that what you are watching is the output from the DVDR. Press "Input Select" on the DVDR remote to select AV2 (The sky box). You should now see whatever channel your Sky box is tuned to but this signal is coming through the DVDR first.
3) Press "Rec Mode" on the DVDR remote to select the recording mode. I am assuming that the Disk is all set up at this point.
4) On the Sky box choose the programs you want to record and set them going using the copy function
5) on the DVDR, press "rec" which should start the recording
6) You should now be able to watch something else on the TV's freeview tuner but obviously don't touch the DVDR or the Sky box whilst the recording is in progress. Recording is in real time - A one hour program will take one hour to record.
I have to say that some people never get it to work for some reason or other.

Why do you have to use a 'copy' function on the Sky box? Why not just play the stored programme?
FWIW, those instructions may vary according to the DVD-Recorder in use.0 -

If it was a single program or film then yes you could but if you were copying several half hour shows then using copy queues them up and copies them one after the other.
My DVD recorder was one with a long play and super long play options so you could get more on a DVD if you didn't mind a loss of quality.
I used to set it up to copy stuff overnight as you can't do much else while it's happening.
It worked a lot better with those DVD recorders that also had a built in HDD, you could set the copy function going and do 12 hours worth over night. Mine didn't have an HDD so I was limited to what would go on a DVD.
This was years ago now, I don't even have a DVD player connected to my TV. If I want to watch a film I get it via Netflix.
And, yes those instructions were for my particular DVD recorder, a Panasonic, but the principal should be the same for any of them. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -
OK, so the Copy function is basically a 'playlist' function ... ?0
