Hi a couple of month ago i had to stop paying my barclay card as ive no funds and on income support , citizens adice are now takining on my case and told me id be entitled to d r o , the question is i booked a holiday through barclay card back in july , can they cancel my holiday through thomas cook or try to make me cancel it , any advice would be welcome , many thanks

If the transaction has been debited to your Barclaycard then it cannot be reversed now.
They can do various things to try and make you pay back what you owe but cancelling your holiday is not one of them.

When you booked the holiday, did you pay the full amount or just a deposit? If it was just the deposit, how will you be able to afford the rest of it? A DRO means you have less than £50 left each month, so going on the holiday doesn't sound realistic. The sooner you cancel, the more likely you are to get some of your deposit back.

Hi thanks for the reply s the reason im asking is my wife has recently been diagnosed with Ms i had to stop working and am her full time carer the holiday is all-inclusive so wont cost much and i know a week in the sun will help her , thanks again all that answered

MS is nasty, I know from family experience. Stating the obvious for the moment, I trust you have been well advised on benefits you (plural) might be entitled to and claims on any insurances you have.

Bear in mind also that travel insurance for your wife could be difficult/expensive and amount to a prohibition. If you bought travel insurance before the condition arose, then it will likely now not cover her for the trip but might entitle you to a refund. But I hope you make it.
