What have folk been charged recently to have their bathrooms refitted and was shower over bath or separate and re-tiling part of their quotes? A relative lives in the Bristol area and has had some what in my opinion are very excessive estimates.
Thy would not want gold plated loo seats, just a reaonable quality ( not MFI) job.

We just had our bathroom done. Completely stripped to bare walls. Free standing bath. Large walk in shower. Basin and toilet with a long run of cupboards. Two heated towel rails. Tiled floor and walls. Ceiling replastered and six spotlights. Back lit mirror. All in £10,000. I'm still holding a £2,000 retention against the final finishing details but in general am very pleased with the result.
My advice. Make sure you agree a sizable retention. I agreed to release £1,250 two days after its finished to my satisfaction and the remaining £750 four weeks after that ( to allow for any faults that aren't immediately apparent).
In my previous house I redid a basic bathroom for £1,000 to sell the house. It really is a matter of you can spend any amount.0 -
my point was there isnt an average. Depends on so many things you cant even start to say whats 'normal'
you would have to be a lot more detailed about the refit before getting even a ball park figurego on, adopt a greyhound

April 06 - Wojtek the Pole (not one of the new wave he's been here 8 years) - old tiles, suite & floor ripped out. Floor stone tiled, walls 50% tiled, new toilet, basin, shower bath & screen. Walls & ceiling skimmed & emulsioned. £1000 labour I sourced & paid for all materials0

Landyandy, you must have more money than sense..
I run a small Bathroom/kitchen company and have never charged more than £6k for a bathroom which includes everything you mentioned.. And we mostly use Matki products...0 -
I've got 2 bathrooms in the pipeline at the mo both fairly small (less than 3 x 2M) 1 a refit (everything incl. flooring walls and ceiling), 1 a new room (but waste stack not too unconvenient).
Am waiting for all the quotes at the mo.... Will let you know!0 -

I picked up second hand cast iron stuff, I reenameled it and used acid to get a bit of rust off and tiled the bathroom for around £500 (dont know the exact cost but it just meant less money went into the savings accounts that month).
My aunty got charged 10K for her bathroom to get done, I wonder if she would have given me 10K if I would have done it for her. Guess she just has more money then sense and lots of millionaire bathroom fitters lol.0
