Hidden Mortgage PPI

Hi
I've just had a marketing call from a company trying to convince me that my mortgage may have had PPI hidden within the monthly repayments-obviously this is something I was unaware of. I was advised that this won't show on any of my mortgage statements and won't have been written in any of the documents issued with the mortgage-so apparently there's no way for me to check myself. I asked how is it possible then to find out if I had this on my mortgage to be told that this company will hassle the mortgage provider until they admit to the mis-selling. I also asked how much they would take as a fee and the lady wouldn't tell me.
We have already successfully claimed mis-sold PPI on a loan by ourselves, so I'm not convinced that this latest PPI initiative isn't one we can't do ourselves either.
Does anyone know if this is just a last ditch attempt by these businesses to drum up more work or is it worth pursuing ourselves?
Thanks

1) Write a cheque for £10
2) Download a subject access request from this site
3) Send it it to your mortgage company
Then, if you feel you have been mis-sold PPI (if it exists) make a claim but do not hold your breath as mortgage PPI is in fact a good product and companies do not hide such cover - urban myth created by the claims firms. Other than the cover being 'hidden' what would be your grounds for claim0 -

You would be unaware of it because it is not possible.I was advised that this won't show on any of my mortgage statements and won't have been written in any of the documents issued with the mortgage-so apparently there's no way for me to check myself.
It will show on a mortgage statement if you have one of the rare mortgages that collected insurance and mortgage under one payment. However, the vast majority are paid by direct debit from your current account and have no record on your mortgage statement or mortgage documents. Much in the same way your house insurance wouldnt.I asked how is it possible then to find out if I had this on my mortgage to be told that this company will hassle the mortgage provider until they admit to the mis-selling.
This sort of complaint is known as fraud and you would be putting your name to it.I also asked how much they would take as a fee and the lady wouldn't tell me.
So, not following ministry of justice requirements.Does anyone know if this is just a last ditch attempt by these businesses to drum up more work or is it worth pursuing ourselves?
You have been lied to about it being hidden. They are encouraging you to make a fraudulent complaint and they refuse to tell you their costs. These companies are parasites. However, not meaning to sound as blunt as it perhaps reads, they have a captive market. If you were foolish enough to get mis-sold PPI then you are just as likely to be mis-sold by a claims company.is it worth pursuing ourselves?
What would your complaint be?
Are you paying it?
