Within the Finance Section of a new car quotation, there is an "add charges" line, can someone please explain what this is and if anyone has been successful in getting this taken out of finance deals??

That would be Additional Charges. Without knowing the details of the quote, it's hard to say what they are for.
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?

Whatever dealers can get away with. Mileage checks, finance set up costs, finance exit fees. You name it they will try it. Of course when buying its all about negotiation, dealers will deal.
