As Martin Lewis says (http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/credit-cards/balance-transfer-credit-cards#mbnarfl), beware of companies offering to repair your credit file. Many of them are illegal and the rest don't do anything you can't do yourself!

Check out that link for good advice on what you can do yourself.

In theory, yes. But as longtermplanner adds they won't do anything you can't do yourself or is illegal.

I've just overturned a default on my credit file myself, perhaps if you give us the history of yours someone will be able to tell you what's possible?

Is the default Factually Correct? if not you can do this yourself, the good people here will help if you tell us what its for and why its not correct. :beer:

I do however suspect that the default is indeed correct and that you just want it removed.

Any company offering to remove a valid and legal default is talking bullsh!t and breaking the law themselves.
