Advice on retrieving labour costs for a faulty item

I purchased a towel radiator from an online bathroom store 8 months ago. The item was described as being "made from low carbon steel construct and coated with three layers of chrome to create a long lasting product".

Last week I noticed that 1 of the bars has started to corrode, so I contacted the company & sent them some photos. They replied by either offering me a refund or a replacement when it comes back into stock. I opted for a replacement and asked them if they would cover the cost of the plumbers labour to remove the corroded one & install the new one. They replied by saying that "we do not cover any third party fees".

This has really annoyed me :mad: because the radiator has only been used for around 4 months as it wasn't used during the summer months at all, & I don't see why I should have to pay the plumber again.

ADVICE please.

    (2)If the buyer requires the seller to repair or replace the goods, the seller must—
    (a)repair or, as the case may be, replace the goods within a reasonable time but without causing significant inconvenience to the buyer;

    (b)bear any necessary costs incurred in doing so (including in particular the cost of any labour, materials or postage).

    Although I should point out that given the item is over 6 months old, the burden of proof is on you to prove the item is inherently faulty.
