  • is it blue or purple?
  • all blue cards are restricted - cant use at petrol pumps etc just the purple one - also if its contactless it wont be restricted

    If it's contactless, yes.
I think kpearsoncj has got his colours mixed, helped in no small part by RBS and Natwest having their card colours different, just to make things nice and obscure as hell for people.

Natwest = Blue cards restricted, not contactless, cant use at pay@pump. Purple cards not restricted, contactless, can use at pay@pump

RBS = All cards are blue, ones starting with 4751 16 are not contactless and cant use at pay@pump, ones starting 4751 17 are contactless and can.

RBS don't issue purple cards, your confusing RBS with Natwest.

RBS dark blue cards are Offline, the Turquoise blue one is Full Auth.

If you have a Debit card that displays the Visa Debit logo and starts with the numbers 4751 16, 4762 30, 4762 31 or 4762 34, you will only be able to use your card at a retailer or supplier of services where they can authorise the transaction with us at the time of the transaction being made. If this is not possible the transaction will be declined.

So it would appear you have a full authority debit card so you could request a contactless card if you wanted one :D
