Credit card insurance.

in Credit cards
I applied for an MBNA card at 6.9% as i have no balance to transfer (at the moment anyway lol) and i wanted a low interest card.
Anyway i got the card today, but they keep ringing me up about their payment protection cover, its doing my nut.
They have phoned me four times in the last week, i have only registered the card today and they phoned ten minutes later.
Is this normal with MBNA, i am begining to regret getting it, is this normal and is there anyway to stop being pestered.

Payment protection insurance is the only way they are going to make money from you on such a low rate credit card. Same with low cost personal loans.
Next time they call ask them to put you on their 'do not promote' list. That way they can't contact you for selling calls but have to wait for you to call them.
You might miss out on one or two genuinely useful offers as a result, but you should be able to get these anyway if you spot them in the press or on board forums like this one.
Good luck.
