Google the council name + childcare disregard + housing benefit. I'm sure it would cover what she is paying.

From what I can remember they take off the disregard before they do the rest of the calculation. So as less than £70 is stated it's possible they aren't using the correct figures.

Can she get to the HB office and speak to someone in person. They can look at the figures on the system and if necessary request a reassessment.

We rang them and they said she can request a re-calculation but they have all the information on the system, it is worked out, then an assessor checks the figure and gives it the ok.

There is nothing at all about the childcare disregards on our local site, it's like banging your head against a brickwall sometimes!

He goes all year round just has the roughly 3 days at xmas holidays off.
