Well I got my confirmation of the holiday this morning, along with a map of Sydney and aa guidebook, 2 Wiggles Tshirts and 2 Wiggles DVDs (which I was not expecting)!

There was a contact number for the company who are organising the trip (apparently they coordinate the whole thing for us).

The lady is out until Monday, so she is going to ring me then to talk about the trip and start the bookign process!

The lady I did speak to though asked when I wanted to take it as the letter says it needs to be used by 30 December 2007 and as it is my hubby's 40th birthday this year, we do have other things planned, so need to squeeze it in somewhere.

I asked whether it could be extended for a couple of months, and maybe use it in the February Half Term holidays. The lady said she was not sure, but sometimes they can extend prizes.

The other option is to go around Christmas (as the only date it could not be used was 1st-15th September). My daughter would not have to miss too much school then either.

My mother in law is now putting a dampner on it and saying is it wise to take a 7 and 4 year old all that way on a flight? Will they really remember the holiday? Yes they will remember a holdiay if I take loads of photos and video and if she thinks I am turning a trip of a lifetiem down, she is nuts!

So now I have it in black and white, I believe it is real now!

That really will be an excellent trip and don't worry about the flight. Just take lots of little games/dolls etc.. for the kids and enjoy it!! And yes, ignore your m.i.l. - I reckon she's just jealous!! :rotfl:
