Halifax - getting a statement for closed account.

Hi there,
I'm currently in first mortgage process. Been asked to provide some additional proof of deposit. Have £5000 in a lloyds account and as it only goes back to November they want proof of where it came from. It came from a Halifax Savings account which I closed after emptying so I could reinvest the interest from it.
But I have no paper statements for the account and now cannot access statements online. Called Halifax who said they didn't have access to that information over phone and is have to contact my branch.
Will do this tomorrow. But reason I've asked about this on here is to see if anyone else has had to do similarly, what the process is, what options are and whether its straightforward or not. I know that I need a statement which shows the transfer on 6th November and then goes back a few months before that.

They won't be able to provide a statement or a list of transactions on the spot but they will be able to put in a request for a statement to be sent out. Make sure you bring in any details of the accounts sort code and account number and specify the dates you need.0

Thanks. Finding it tricky to get the exact details because accounts I have that I know I've transferred to from it dont say the sort code/account number of this account.
I know I was transferring £1000 per month into a regular saver but the regular saver doesn't list those transfers using the originating account number. It just says my name.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

If it was only closed in November they may still be able to access statements in branch. That may make it easier to track down.0

Thanks. Only took 5 mins in the end, got statement printed off and stamped straight away. Sorted.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)
