They look perfectly ok to me.So there is obviously something amiss. It really would be difficult to have such a high bill without knowing what appliances you use to excess and it certainly doesn't sound like it to me.You need to keep pushing Npower for answers.0

First step is to identify whether it's the gas or electricity that is giving the high DD request. Those meter readings look fine for both.
When the DD is set it is derived from estimated on-going usage + debt, so again, a good idea to understand this sum. (Though even £150 per month is on the high side for low usage).0 -
I agree with froglet, above.
Electricity tends to be only a little more in winter than in summer unless you use electrical heating. 12 kWh per day ~ 4,380 pa and typical annual usage is about 3,200 kWh. It's probable that your annual usage is only a tad higher that this.
Gas tends to be mainly space heating and 13 cu.m over 3 days works out at about 48 kWh per day - that's roughly what I am using at the moment - it will be higher if it gets colder of course.

I never get paper bills, I only get emails and I've copied and pasted the last one, I asked for a paper bill so I can see what is happening and they said not to phone until it comes (7 - 10 days) as they won't be able. To do anything else for me.

Is it just me that thinks 49Kwh/units of electricity in 3 days is on the high side when the hob is gas and the shower isn't electric?
£618 a month as a mad level of usage!
What is the total amount owed?
That's unless you live in a large mansion!

Yep, does seem high. Seems I used 4 days consumption. But 16 kWh per day does seem high.retepetsir wrote: »Is it just me that thinks 49Kwh/units of electricity in 3 days is on the high side when the hob is gas and the shower isn't electric?
Tissy, if you turn off the switch on your consumer unit, does the street lamp go out?

Yes, that's pretty much what she said. I havebeen paying £150 formonths and just been putting the card in the window when the meter readers have been as I've been at work. I've not had any bills or emils for a couple of years so just assumed my readings and direct debits were fine.
I offered to pay £800 straight away, but I haven't enough money going in each month to pay that new debit (I earn £900 a month) now I really don't know what to do.0 -

Is that a joke?0 -
What you need is a record of your meter readings since you switched to npower. Have you downloaded copies of your bills?Yes, that's pretty much what she said.
