Aha! I bought some over the weekend in a charity shop - 2 for £1! Love it :)

    **eyes Sue enviously**
I do do a lot of the preparation in the first part of the tax year, listing income, that sort of thing, but I haven't been able to shake the habit of a January declaration :o Knowing how ill I get over winter, I should, but I haven't. Worse things happen at sea :D

    Good slash n burn KC.
Thanks SHS! I almost cleared about a square yard of ground, which
is a lot for me, as well as cutting back vertically :rotfl: my broken washing up bowl, where I stash the clippings before stuffing them in the bag, has speeded up the process dramatically, because I'm not forever faffing with the top of a plastic bag :o It's hard to believe how long it took me to realise that would help!

Today, just been starting the French accounts, which are simple to add up, though not to declare :rotfl: Can't do much more as this is my heavy day, and I'm in sessions and whatnot.

Yay to blue sky:j. Well bluey-grey here but it's still good;).

Not that I'll be seeing much of it as I'm biting the bullet and spending the day mould-busting:eek:. Well, hopefully not all day but definitely as long as it takes;). Will be thinking of you throughout, KC :rotfl:

Hi CBC! I did the mould bust on my porch lateish one afternoon a few weeks ago, and so I was breathing it in for hours - thats good that you were on it before 11am, gives you plenty of time to get it clear of the house before this sort of time!

Been wondering how you're doing, glad you're good :)

Very nippy out there, but haven't really been out, been indoors and working. My time is now my own again :j I may have planned out the beginnings of *another* nonfiction book, as per the free webinar I listened to on Saturday, about the psychology of emergencies. Heaven only knows if I'll ever write it, must stop planning books as a recreational device

    Mortgage-free Glee!
I can't remember where I read it recently - I think courgettes sig? and it says do what you love when you want to do it. I've been trying to do a bit more of what I really want to, when I want to.. its worked quite well!

If you want to plan a book...why not (for a bit!)?
    15/5/12 Paid off Mortgage 1 (£220k) Bought Dream House:www: Dec 13 - Mortage 2 -£116,508. 15/7/18 Mortgage Free Again :j

    Progress not Perfection
  • Your webinar sounds great, KC. I'm glad it lived up to expectations. I love the idea of book-planning as a recreational device too:T. Sounds fun, definitely a lot more pleasurable than mould-busting;)

I was at it off and on for most of the day but it was so darn cold today that keeping the windows open to help ventilation was very uncomfortable. I feel the cold terribly especially in my hands and feet so I had to do shortish bursts at the mould and then sit somewhere less smelly and hug a mug of tea:o. The house isn't warm even now and I've had the central heating on since 6, much to OH's annoyance:(

I will beat it though. Apart from being unsightly it's detrimental to health as I assume the spores escape into the air:eek:. Might have another go tomorrow but at this rate will have to buy some more of the treatment very soon.

I've noticed a few really good sigs around recently - thanks for that one.

Earthgirl, CBC - you know what, you're both right :A:A if I know it's recreational, that takes the pressure off. And one of the books I plan will be the next one I write :j I scribbled, so I could do it in front of a DVD not on the lappie - using up the back of some graph paper. Graph paper    recent kondoing has shown that I bought it in 2000 for my diploma in astronomy. I'm never going to hand draw an astronomical graph again, 16 years is enough to prove that :rotfl: so I'm using it up any way I can :rotfl:

It's tough to do at this time of year, isn't it - but this is the time of year when it becomes more important! Difficult :(

It's cold today! My chimney balloon was pushed out of the chimney a few months ago by high winds, so this morning I finally deflated it, stuck it up the chimney and blew it up again - it purposely leaves some ventilation around the edges, but it must stay a little bit warmer in the living room with it fully operational, surely?

Just a bit of an update before I get going ...
    1 – 3: Carrying On

In the house: decluttering, tidying, cleaning, selling.
The decluttering has gone well so far, focussed at the weekends, and thinking about how to maximise use of space too. Tidier, bit cleaner. No selling :D

Outside space: pruning, weeding, soil improvement, planting.
Pruning and weeding going well, eggshells roasted to put out to improve soil, too early for planting.

Blogging: four a month, between cats and the other one.
Done two, got at least one draft on each blog.

    4 - 9: ADDING

Fitness and beauty routine, in time for family wedding in May.
    Nothing :p

Outside repairs: fences, fence painting, patio repair, cut back cherry laurel.
    Nothing :p

    Finances.
1 transfer from stocks to cash.
2 best rates on existing cash.
    3 tax free declaration.
4 new sources such as matched betting, P2P lending.
French rent money takes me over the limit for tax free savings, thats okay. Am currently doing the tax declaration for this year, not going too badly at all.

    Cat designs
Nothing yet :p I didn't expect to, not with the finance work to be done.

Freebies to give away on the blogs: one on garlic, one on the ten plants that cats like. Use them to encourage signup to email list.
    Nor this neither :p

Kitchen: simple recipes, dehydrator, foraging and garden produce.
Nope. Though I have to do the savoury jelly thing today, from foraged frozen mixed fruits. Been sitting in the fridge since Saturday

    10 - 15: BIG NEW PROJECTS
Not included any of this right now, it'd just take up space saying "no" in lots of different ways ;)

Well, definitely no mould-removal is going to be done today;). It's teeming with rain and the temperature seems to be even lower than yesterday so there's no way I'm having the windows wide open for hours on end. I've had a close look at the areas I worked on yesterday and there's a definite improvement:j. So it was worth the effort and inconvenience:T. The house still smells of chemicals though so I hope no one pops in today.

I mustn't rest on my laurels though (sadly I have a major flaw in this area:o) and need to keep on top of it and not wait until things get really bad again before panicking into action;)

I love your lists, KC, and the idea of using up graph paper:T. I'm currently using up the blank side of A4 paper that's had stuff printed/copied on the other side. I've a huge pile of it and it's a shame to just put it out with the recycling;)

I hope the sun is shining on you today.
