Have I missed something? That's nothing new for me:o but am intrigued by your wedding admin, KC. Whose wedding is it? Sorry if it's a nosy question:o
I did a YouGov survey this morning (probably the same one you did) and have finally reached my 5000 points payout barrier:j. They pay by BACS now, not cheque like they used to :j(although maybe they still offer that option too for anyone who still prefers cheques) so I've clicked the redeem button and am awaiting my money. Takes about 3 weeks normally according to others who've redeemed. It won't be long now before you can claim yours,KC, I recall you mentioning you were almost there:T
Have a lovely weekend in the sunshine:beer:. It looks as if it's pretty much all over the country today:j0 -
CBC, congratulations on getting the payout! I wish they did Amazon vouchers, I must say, but yes, mine will be reached soon, I'll make sure of it
The wedding - the announcement was in The Times last week, and, erm, didn't mention "Karmacat" :rotfl:its my youngest nephew. Very odd for our oh-so-English family, none of the five spouses is English  makes for a fascinating life, I learnt some Polish words for the one-before-last :j For this one, it will have to be Gaelic, which has almost as many consonants strung together as Polish, probably ... since we're the groom's family, there isn't a huge amount to do, but travel discussions take a looooooong time. And there's an online friend who lives up in Scotland, I have a couple of books published by him, and we've always talked about him signing them. I'd really like to meet up in the flesh! Its not till May, so there's lots and lots of time.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Ooh ,exciting wedding ahead KC! :j :j
And congratulations on your YouGov payout CBC! :j :j I confess I stopped doing them a while ago and never reached payout and now can't remember my loginNo hope for me! :rotfl:
Er, KC, are you thinking of giving up your diary altogether?? Or will you be moving elsewhere? I do so enjoy your rambles0 -
Aw, thank you both!carbootcrazy wrote: »Sounds lovely. How posh, an announcement in The Times

Word to the wise tho - my class-warrior mother knew more than t'others about the correct grammar for the inclusion of a deceased spouse. Horrifying, really

Er, KC, are you thinking of giving up your diary altogether?? Or will you be moving elsewhere? I do so enjoy your ramblesthank you! TBH, I was thinking of stopping it ... I *do* ramble
and not just about mfw stuff - (see the loud bellow just above!) its really more suited to my personal blog, which I never write in any more
and my focus for the next year is preparation for retirement and not falling ill. There's a kindle authors forum on goodreads, for instance, I think I need to get involved in. I don't know
:o:o I've been here for a long time. I'd be coming back, I'm sure, like a homing pigeon :A

Am rethinking the diary - its no longer standard mfw fare, and might even be stopping me branching out to pore over the matched betting threads...
I hope you don't give it up altogether
But I know what you mean when you say that it stops you doing other things.
These days I tend to leave my diary for a few days, and look at other areas of the board for a while, but only for a little while each day.
I have cut my online time quite significantly. I knew it was getting to be a problem when at 11.30pm each night, I was thinking, 'just one more thread before bedtime'... then another...
I would like to read more diaries, especially newer ones, but I don't want to get 'sucked in' again, so tend to look at the older ones I've read in the pastEarly retired - 18th December 2014
