Moben Kitchen Purchase

Yesterday I received a call on my mobile asking to speak to myself or my wife. They gave a company name which I didn'y catch and said they were ringing about a kitchen that I had purchased from Moben Homes about 3 years ago (Moben have since gone bust). They had all of the details of the price down to pence and knew it was purchased on a credit card. They said they were ringing as I'd been charged insurance that I shouldn't have been and that they could recover it from the bank/credit card company. They seemed very believable but I smelt a rat and hung up!!! Now I'm thinking maybe I could claim directly. Wondered if anyone else had had similar experiences. It was from an 0161 number but there is only a standard voice message.

What exactly could you "claim" directly? If you bought an insurance policy on payments for a Moben Kitchen, then why would this be somehow wrong?
This is just another case of cold-calling by a claims company who are running out of customers mis-sold PPI.

Your financial details are not in the Public Domain, if this company knew the details of the price you paid for the kitchen they've either plucked a figure from thin air or they have obtained it illegally. Either way, best avoided.
