Excercise does not cause hair loss.

Steriod usage does cause hair loss.

To get rid of the belly, cardio (running, treadmill, cross trainer, rowing machine etc) and sit ups. Plus eat healthy.

Currently running and playing soccer to no avail. I attempted sit ups last night with my arms crossed over my chest but found that when I was lowering my back as it hit the floor it hurt my back.
  • I find that I get a bit if a belly when I eat crap sugary foods. When I get a grip and eat properly again I can reduce it. I also run, swim and play badminton so keep a certain level of fitness, and am trying to get back into doing core strength/abs exercises daily too.

Sit ups should be done properly or you can strain your back. Someone here will know more but I use a gym ball to do them with.

Have you got an exercise mat? If not I would recommend you get one, much easier than doing sit ups on a hard surface.
  • Do planks and plank variations instead of sit-ups :)

When doing sit-ups, you only need to get to the point where your head is just over knee height (assuming your legs are bent). Your back shouldn't hit the floor hard; you should be able to control its descent.

I swim to tone my stomach muscles. Having children and being petite my stomach is the first thing to show.
I also watch what I eat. Bread, biscuits or anything with wheat and sugar in bloats my stomach out and makes me look pregnant.
I also don't eat a lot in one sitting as this doesn't help either.
So a combination of exercise and diet should sort it out.
  • There's a common phrase, abs are made in the kitchen. In basic terms, you need to lose fat to have a flat stomach and then exercise to get the "toned" look there.
