Could use MSE pester-power on this "highest scorer" comp!

Yes, we have another FB comp where it is a case of "highest scorer wins" on a daft game.
There are small random draw prizes throughout but the main prize of an iPad Mini will go to the highest scorer at the end of the comp.
We've managed to get some amazing turnarounds from companies running this type of comp recently, so hopefully we can do the same here.

Absolutely agree purplebutterfly! These 'top scorer wins all' comps really get up my nose cos you know there are always people who have the know-how to beat the odds!
Well, I've just added my tuppence worth in the comments! HTH=^._.^= You will always be lucky if you know how to make friends with strange cats =^._.^=0 -
I posted a comment to the same effect, and got a reply off some nasty person (not from Schwartz!!) saying "probably cos they don't want to give the prize to some freebie hunter who sits at home entering competitions all day" - lovely!0

You asked a question on a public forum and didn't get the answer you were hoping for, that doesn't make the person who replied nasty.0 -

Well, throwing around personal accusations about somebody you don't know isn't exactly going to help you graduate from charm school, is? I personally think that it was an unnecessarily derogatory remark on behalf on the "freebie hunter" hater.
Honestly, I swear that people who kick kittens get less aggro than compers sometimesLiving with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -
I gave up posting some time ago because of

(2) my somewhat over excitable nature...:o
However, I think your suggestion is a real misuse of the power of social media.
It is entirely up to Scharwtz how they run their competitions. They have provided a nice addictive (:rotfl:) little game and the chance to win decent prizes. You may not be 'cheating' (an unfounded accusation) but you want the goal posts changed to suit yourself. The image of compers as outlined above is so inaccurate it is laughable but posts like this do nothing to help our image.
JMHO, obviously."If ever there is a tomorrow when we're not together... there is something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we're apart... I'll always be with you. "

Where were the " personal accusations " ?
What was "derogatory" about the remark ?
Where does the poster say she hates "freebie hunters" ?0 -

i think the reason for asking is alot of people use priograms to cheat their way to the top so they win its a reasonable request to ask for it to be random as the same people seem to keep winning these types of thingWhat goes around-comes around0

Maybe they just are good at skill games tho? It really is not that different from another skill comp ie a tiebreaker or a poem/photo compMAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOUR0
