Buying a value advanced ticket

I believe that you can only buy rail tickets 12 weeks in advance, but i am looking to travel from oxenholme to reading in october and want to be ready when the cheap tickets first come out, but how do i find any.

Strat looking on the Virgin Trains site 3 months before and jump when the tickets are released. They sometimes come out a bit late - particularly for weekend travel.

If you don't see any don't panic and buy a full-priced ticket - you can do that on the day if you can't find an alternative.
