Long Hose for Gas Cooker

Hi All,

I am trying to locate a gas hose for a cooker. It has to be around 10-12ft long. Reason being that a friend has moved to a new house. Has one of them big 5 burner cookers, and it will not fit in the standard sized space for a cooker. There is however a free wall where she would like to house the cooker.

Is the hose available in longer lengths or is 4ft the maximum.

Also where can I find one.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks :D

I think that will be the longest hose!, why don't you just have the gas pipe extended, as both works require a Corgi registered person to do the work.

Thanks. It's not for me, it's for a friend. How much do you think they would charge to do that? She doesn't have much money.

Not sure of the cost, depends if there is a local valve, otherwise a full gas test will be required before and after work.

Could she not move units to accommodate cooker so it will fit where connection is?

    We thought of that.

It's a new kitchen in a rented property, so no chance of shifting any units :-)

There is an existing connection for a gas cooker. If she had a smaller cooker she'd be up and running, but she has this big old AGA style thing that just will not fit....:o

She might be cheaper in the long run to buy a new (more efficient) cooker. They are not so expensive and the cost of getting a gas fitter would possibly be approx same as a new cooker.
