Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.

thermostatic radiator valves or TRV will get you more results.

Easy to add debateable as you either need to stop your CH system from pushing water round or drain it completely, change the valves then refill it. It can be a DIY job but I'd say it's fairly advanced in teh scheme of things. Cheapest valves? You can pick some up for £6 in B&Q no idea of quality though at the other end Drayton TRV4 are seen as the preium and the price shows. there are many inbewteen and some swear by some, others wouldn't touch them. A lot can often be down to how and where they are installed. At least your googling should bring up more info now you know the name

Make sure you have right sized valves i.e 10 mil or 15.and replace both valves as a pair ie. trv and lockshield
    Drain system
    suggest radiator remove in toto
    take out side
    and flush with hose
After removing old valves, fit new ones using PTFE tape
Refit radiator using new olives on feed pipes.
    refill system including corotion inhibitor.
Then bleed radiator to remove air.
    Hope this helps x
plumb centre sell these for approx £8.00 a pair
