I'm leaving NPower, bill or no bill..
At least that's what I hope.
My cheap fix has come to an end, and I'm so desperate to leave this god-awful energy supplier, I might just initiate a switch based on 2yr old consumption data. Despite asking repeatedly, I've had no billing information from them in over a year, and I couldn't even guess within a 50 mile radius what my final bill amount will be or what my usage is.
Is it possible / advisable to leave a supplier in these circumstances? Should I be filing a complaint instead? I really think I could be waiting until old age for them to get their act together.

Don't you have access to your meters?
I'm in a similar situation in that I've not had a bill for 6 months since changing to credit, but I'm checking my meters regularly and recording weekly consumption figures so should be able to work out my bill to within a few quid.
I'll be changing soon, after I get back from holiday, and I'm not looking forward to the process. If they try and block it because I "haven't paid my bill" I shall, I shall... oh, at the very least stamp my feet and scream and scream...0 -
Oh wow. I entered our Nov 2012 and current meter readings into the UKPower tool. According to them, we will owe NPower: £2000??? :O
2012's bills were somewhere in the region of £1300 - after switching to Npower - who were supposed to save us money - our bill appears to have shot up to £2500.. I have no words..
EDIT
LOL I found a more accurate reading from Feb 2013, not Nov... Looks like we're ok
Lesson learned: keep every reading, and don't leave the figures to the energy companies.0 -
If you have been providing regular meter readings to your supplier and you have asked them to provide bills, they cannot backdate charges for consumption beyond one year.
Keep sending meter readings and keep asking for bills. The longer they delay the less of your consumption you will have to pay for.

I regret that much of the evidence on this site suggests otherwise. It is certainly my impression that npower, the company, doesn't care at all about its customers only their money - by hook or by crook.nPower_company_representative wrote: »Hi Kataklysm. We're sorry to hear the way you feel

Anyone thinking of moving to npower might want to consider the verdict of the watchdog <Consumer Futures (15 January 2014)>.
Don't say you haven't been warned.
