I have read on this board before of schools being contacted and of parents getting a report off their childs school to send in with the DLA form.

They may still contact the school. If your child has a statement of educational needs, it might be worth sending that in.

they do like to ask the dvhool.
the speialists see your sone in clinic. out of his usual routine and settings.
the school should have a greater understanding of the difficulties your son faces on a daily basis

Yes my child does have a Educational Statement which is a good idea to send with the claim pack. I still a bit concerned because on the NetMums site lots of parents have written that the school tell DLA that the child is doing very well and nothing about what they are not doing well. Thank You

I think you need to talk to the school about this if you're worried.

It's like filling in a job application form: you copy the form, fill it out 'in rough' and then do it 'for real'. So mummy copies the page she wants the school to complete, gives it to school and asks to have it back, then if all it says is along the lines of "little Freddie is doing very well" she can go back in and remind them that the only reason little Freddie is doing well is because he has 1:1 support at all times / at break times / in lessons / in some lessons and has to be taken out of class x times per day for toileting / medication / behavioural issues.
