house built in 1967 Asbestos in artex?

    not sure exactly but my understandings that some form os asbestos has been using in the building trade for far longer than most people think.

    from my research it would appear Artex trade name took it out in 84, but some copiers used it upto 87 ish. even so the insurance companies test upto 1999, as presumably that's when most plasterers had safely exhausted any bags they had lying around.


    don't quote me on the above statement as asbestos is nasty !!!!!, and I wouldn't like to put anyone in danger, if in doubt get it tested, its safer than sorry with this stuff.


    deejaybee I would think your place should be fine.


    p.s. even some modern materials can be dangerous, stuff like what you put behind tiles in a bathroom, apparently that board has silica gel in it.
