I'd like to change the bannister and dividing rods on my stair, the rods are very far appart and basic. I have a vague notion there's rules about how far appart each dowel/rod should be for saftey etc etc.
Can anyone point me to a site that gives these regulations or any advice, hints & tips on how to do the whole thing as easily as poss.

Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.
