What's a jersey import?

It was imported from Jersey?0

It's a car that was first registered on the Channel Island of Jersey. Probably a hire car ( typically Fiesta / Focus size). When they get to a certain age / mileage, they are de-fleeted and brought back to the mainland, where they are re-registered and sold. But because they were first registered in the Channel Islands they are classed as an import.
I've bought several ex Channel Islands cars, one was 3 months old with 800 miles - all were Fords - and all have been very good and reliable cars.0 -
I seem to remember there is some sort of VAT benefit involved?0

There may be a mechanical benefit due to the low speed limits in force on the Channel Islands, although that may be offset by a large number of short journeys and the impact of salt in the air.0

Unlike other European imports they also benefit from the full warranty afforded by the manufacturer as if they had been purchased in the UK as well.
Motorpoint are (or used to be) one of the companies that source their cars from Jersey.0
