Excel Parking Fine

Hello,
I know this has been discussed a lot, however I got an Excel Parking Charge Notice today whilst at a retail park.
Out of anger I sent an appeal email straight away (I realise this may not have been the best thing to do).
Please can people advise me what to do next? I realise from reading other posts on here that my appeal will probably fail.
Should I just ignore everything from then on? Have people actually done this recently?
Thanks for your help and apologies if this has been covered many times before.

Do not ignore if you are in England or Wales. Ignoring is the old advice and some people think it works as the PPC appears to 'go away' after a few debt collector letters - but the PPC still has 6 years to come back to it. Best to get it off your mind for good.
You've now identified yourself as the driver - so a small part lost, but certainly no showstopper.
Wait for their reply, which will reject your appeal, then bang in a good POPLA appeal using the many templates on this website. Have a good look at the stickies for Winning at POPLA.
You'll be using certian paragraphs that will wipe Excel away for good.
Do post your draft POPLA letter for the seasoned posters to look at before you send it in.0 -
if you are in england or wales, do not ignore, that is stupid advice from anyone that mentions it

Hi All,
I posted yesterday regarding a PCN I had received at Crown Point in Leeds for "leaving the complex".
I have appealed to Excel but from reading comments on here expect this to be rejected.
Basically I parked at the complex at 8.55am, walked round and realised that the majority of stores didnt open until 9.30am.
To kill the time I did walk off the complex but returned at 9.30am to buy what I needed. I returned to my car at approx 9.45am to find I had a PCN for £100 (£60 if paying early). I then left for my onward journey. I did notice signs at the complex stating "3 hours maximum stay" but didnt notice anything about leaving the complex. £100 seems a lot to pay for less than an hours parking.
I realise there a lots of templates on the forum, I just wondered if anybody would be kind enough to point me in the direction of the best one to use as a starting point and if they think there is a chance my appeal could succeed?
Thanks again for all your help.0 -

I managed so anyone can0 -
No, your appeal to Excel will not succeed - your POPLA one will though just as long as you pick one of the example appeals that includes :
1. No Genuine Pre-estimate of Loss
2. No contract with the landowner to impose charges
3. Poor and inadequate signage"The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -

Yep we know, has been covered a few times every single week if you read other threads...so it's likely to be the Peel Centre, or similar. Why not search this forum for keyword 'Excel' (and then the keyword 'Peel' if it's the well-discussed Peel Centre).Should I just ignore everything from then on? Have people actually done this recently?
Nope and nope. Read the sticky thread and learn 'How to win at POPLA'. Easy as pie at the moment against PPCs like Excel.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
