Expedia Best Price Guarantee

I posted this on the holidays thread but got no response. Thought I'd post it here to see if anyone has any thoughts/advice/experience. Thanks
"Has anyone experience of successfully claiming the above? I booked a flight plus hotel on Friday. By the Saturday the price for the exact same flight plus hotel had dropped by about £50 on their site so I put in a claim (http://www.expedia.co.uk/daily/price...e/default.aspx).
Expedia are refusing to consider this as they say the guarantee only covers either hotel or flight plus hotel reservations, and I actually booked a flight, hotel and activity reservation as I also booked a return airport hotel transfer. Some activity!
Although I can perhaps understand what they are saying is technically correct, it is surely far from the spirit or intention of the guarantee, or what any reasonable person may understand by it. I actually searched for a flight/hotel deal on their website, using the tab Flight + Hotel, and this is what I booked. I added the transfer when paying, the same as I may have (but obviously didn't) added their overpriced insurance offered. would this have been an activity as well? Reading the wording of the guarantee it actually says 'If you book and pay for a Flight + Hotel' which I have done - it doesn't say can't include anything else.
Does anybody have any experience/advice? I obviously don't want to accept their ruling as I feel their guarantee should apply. How can I deal with this?"
