Balance Transfer

Hello,

My husband has a Halifax Credit card.

I also have my own Halifax credit card.

I am coming to the end of my 0% and have been turned down for another card to transfer it over to. As it is not good to apply for others now I would like to transfer my balance to my husbands card so I can continue to pay it off.

Can we do this with the cards being from the same bank?

Heard different answers...

If not how long can I wait before applying again?

Thanks

    Not usually (ever?) permitted.

Nope you can't transfer from card within the same banking group with Halifax.

That's a list of groups and the cards they issue.

You can apply for another one today, one or two applications is not going to hurt.

    Which lender did you try?

Never leave balance transfers on promotion rates to the last min;)
