Tell your story and help others who are buying an annuity

Hi folks,
A government organisation is asking for our help to find people happy to share their stories about buying an annuity. The hope is the stories will help inspire others who are looking at what annuity to get.
If you fit one of these criterion and would be happy to help please email your story to casestudy@moneysavingexpert.com.
• You’re an individual or couple who looked around for your annuity and have ended up better off as a result. If that’s you, it would like to feature your success on its website so just email us the details of your story.
• You’re an individual or couple who’ve got an annuity but it didn’t really work for you, you had a poor experience getting it because you didn’t shop around and/or you’ve generally ended up worse off. If that’s you it would like to include you in its press release and maybe ask you to speak to other media, so please email us the details of your story and a daytime phone number.
Thank you!

The lack of responses is interesting (although I suppose that people might have sent an email without saying so on here).
I wonder if the very nature of an annuity is such that they appeal to people who like the idea of not actively managing their investments and therefore are not naturally drawn to MSE?

We've not had many emails so please do send through your stories folks - good or bad - or post them below if that's easier.
