Selling Sony Vaio E series

Hello.

I hope this is the right place to put this.:o

I currently have a Sony Vaio E series laptop which isn't suitable for my needs anymore. It has 4GB ram and a 2.4ghz processor.

It boots up but gets hot very quickly, despite me cleaning the fan etc and is just generally slow. I've done the usual virus/spyware scans, defrag, cleaning out temp files/old registry files, even done a complete re-install!

It doesn't run games very well and is just not suited to my needs anymore.

I was thinking about selling it on Ebay to part fund a new one but I'm not sure how to list it. It turns on and works that way, but it's slow. I'll put this in the description, but do I sell it just for spares etc because of the slowness problem? Any help would be appreciated please. I've never done this before. :o

Thank you.

you haven't mentioned the processor/video card spec, but unless there is a hardware fault (unlikely), a reinstall always cures slowness - defrag & temp/registry cleaning does nothing useful in terms of speed.

game speeds really depends on what games, and what cpu/graphics specs are required, but basic games should work on a 2.4ghz/4gb machine easily

Stick it on for 99p and see what you get for it. If you put it on with a reserve or too high a starting price it will put off many buyers.
    1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
    2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
    3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?

What is the exact model number?

If it's the right price (and spec) for my particular needs, I'll be more than happy to buy from you.
