How much for a taxi to Fuengirola

Does anyone know how much a taxi will cost from Malaga airport to Fuengirola

Hi,

My parents live near Malaga & they really wouldn't recommend it.

When you walk out of the airport, on the upper level (beware there is alot of building work going on at the moment - building a 2nd runway) there is a bridge which leads across the road to the train station.

You can get a direct train to your hotel as the train goes along the coast & it costs peanuts. Really easy to do. Then get a taxi to the hotel from the train station for a fraction of the cost.

Happy days, have a nice time - apparently it's in excess of 35c @ the moment.:rotfl:

30 euros to Fuengirola,but ALWAYS agree a price before you get in.

Villeroy is correct about the train being cheap but if you`ve got kids and luggage it`s a bit of a journey.

Buses are cheap and quite reliable. I had no problems with them when I travelled from Malaga to Nerja.

The train service is easy and excellent value for money. All announcements and the LCD display is in English/Spanish.

Unless you have heaps of luggage or kids, then this really is easy and cheap. And reliable too.

Train was only about 1.65 when i went last summer- taxis can be a rip-off.

I go regularly as my friend lives about 4 miles away from Fuengirol- had no troble with kids and luggage on train anytime

Taxis from Malaga airport are a complete rip-off. Get the train to Fuengirola - every half hour for peanuts. You can always get a taxi to your accomodation if you need to.

The OFFICIAL taxi`s at Malaga airport are well regulated and the fares are displayed on a big board inside the terminal.(same fares that are given in the link in post 4)
Also these cabbies have the official fares in their cabs,which they are obliged to produce if asked.

No matter where you go,you get conmen pretending to be genuine cabbies (look at heathrow for a start,£120 oneway to central London)

OK,OK,I know after a flight all you want to do is get to your hotel without hassle but as I said earlier,agree the price before you get in the taxi.

The train is of course the cheapest,but what a performance to get to it.
You have to go to a multi-story carpark,cross a roadbridge,navigate steps to get on the platform and finally have some change to put into the auto ticket machine.
Surely at an international airport like Malaga it should be a lot easier than that.
OK if your not elderly or disabled,or got too much luggage and small children.
