Driving licence?

Hello,
My husband is Trying to get a ppi Refund from tesco clubcard and has been asked to send them a validated copy of his driving licence, I have done this twice and never been asked for this. Is it now normal practice?

Take you pick from anti-fraud to just another hurdle. Supposing he didn't drive? Or the address on the licence didn't't match the address they have for him?

They're just being careful in that they are paying the correct beneficiary, however they should offer a list of acceptable documents - I always choose the one that gives them the least amount f personal information.

Do they really need a Date of Birth and a photo? Of course not - but we are bring coerced at every stage to believe we must.

If details have changed or there are inconsistencies in the personal information then they will often go for proof of ID.

Also, some payouts could fall under anti-money laundering checks and if he fails the electronic check then they have to revert to the manual check method and driving licence is one of the accepted documents that covers this
