How to replace bathroom spotlight?

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone knows how to replace this spotlight? It's the one on the left hand side above the sink:



I'd like to replace it with a more energy efficient LED bulb rather than halogen. Do I have to replace the whole unit (including the black holder bit) or can I swap over the actual halogen bulb for an LED bulb (and keep the black holder and white casing that surrounds the bulb)?

I can't see a way of breaking open the unit to access the bulb:

My best guess is that the white bezel unscrews.

You can just replace the bulb with the appropriate LED version.

However if that is a mains voltage fitting then the supply cable is appallingly badly connected; the outer sheath MUST be clamped and MUST continue inside the fitting so the coloured individual wires are fully enclosed.

Front circle thing will unscrew.

Assuming the white bezel on the front doesn't unscrew, I would say that it looks like it doesn't have a replaceable bulb and the whole unit would require replacement.

Either way I'd turn off the lighting circuit at your consumer unit, just to be on the safe side when playing with the fitting dangling.

Thanks - the white bezel unscrewed and I managed to swap over the light bulb!
